ManyCam is a freeware program used for web-cameras. ManyCam can modify input from a webcam in real-time to create many effects. It integrates itself into the driver of the webcams so that we can use this program with any other program like the Yahoo Messenger, Live Messenger and Video editing applications like the Sony Vegas, etc.
Manycam gives a list of "Effects". It can add masks, and other videos into the webcam input. It does this by deciding where our face is within the picture / video input. It can add eyeglasses, eyebrows, hair styles, hats, and can even replace our face with that of a cat or a ghost. Masks include blurr options also, so that we can protect our identity online.
We may add many video clips, or clocks, etc. We can also make a custom drawing on the video with the brush.
There is a "sources" tab which can be used to select the different sources for the program. We may select our web camera, movies / video clips stored on our computer.
We know that webcams are not really fast (at frame rates). Also this program is slow at rendering. |
